Tied with a Bow

DSC_6359

Catbird‘s always my go-to when it comes to delicate jewelry, but those creative minds aren’t just reserved for hammering out alphabet and first-knuckle rings. Their hair bow, which I have attempted here, is  perfect for holiday outings and parties, and much less sweat-inducing  than the beach waves and upswept hair of other attendees. The bow works with all hair types and is best on second-day or curled hair to offset its sweetness. Thanks sister Kate for being my lovely model!

1. Place hair in a half up, half down ‘do. Secure upper portion in bun.

2. Divide bun in two sections, twisting each side upward and pinning against the head.

3. Take a strip of hair from below and cover the center of the bun. Secure remaining bit in bun with bobby pin.

4. Spritz bow and surrounding area with hair spray.
