Nearly 10 years ago, Katie Holmes stunned in her cover story feature for Allure magazine back in June 2003. The spread debuted the same month the last episode of Dawson’s Creek aired (a show chock-full of 90s style offenders), with Katie not yet solidified as the fashion plate she is today. Her ability to carry off this Behnaz Sarafpour dress, however, directly inspired by the equally elegant Degas statue, “Little Dancer of Fourteen Years,” displayed her potential to pull off even those hit-or-miss high fashion looks. Having just presented her second Holmes and Yang collection at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, of which she is co-designer, not to mention being named the new face of both Bobbi Brown cosmetics and eco-conscious Alterna Haircare, Holmes has proved herself to be a force in the industry.
