Mother’s Day Gift Guide

meltwithyou_lg

To celebrate those special mamas (or maternal figures) in your life, I’ve complied a few gift ideas that I feel add a personal, and meaningful, touch. P.S. You’ve got time! Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 12th.

Bouquet of flowers for a lasting sentiment. Above from Sprout Home (in Brooklyn and Chicago). Locate a florist near you here.

Nothing beats a heartfelt (and handwritten) card. (L) Rifle Paper Co., $4.50. (R) Banquet Atelier & Workshop, $5.

Head out for a meal of mom’s choice. If, like me, you live far away from one another, get (or make!) a certificate for the meal, and treat her the next time you meet. Mine would most likely pick dinner at Gandy Dancer in Ann Arbor, starting off with their coconut shrimp appetizer (above) and hefty bread basket. As an alternative, celebrate with a night in, whipping up something together.

This is a beautiful and thoughtful post and I am honored to be a part of it! They are all lovely and unique ideas. I was lucky to get the Caitlin McGauley Orchid Tray for Christmas (even more beautiful in person)! I especially like the idea of combining our favorite recipes. I look forward to cooking together and dinner at the Gandy Dancer for my favorite shrimp appetizer.

    Love,
    Mom

  2. Beautiful, beautiful post. The composition of the mother and daughters photo with the lighting, background color, and their lovely, natural, relaxed demeanors was absolutely stunning for me to view and I so enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing with this photo.
