I just returned to the city, and while it’s great to be back, there’s always an adjustment period in transitioning from Ann Arbor’s slower-paced lifestyle to the hustle of NYC. Here are a few of my favorite (mostly food-related :) moments from the trip. Above: Loaded up on my share of Dairy Queen. Word is NYC locations will crop up near the South Ferry subway station in late fall, and in Times Square this November or December!!!!!
Cupcakes (by Sprinkles in NYC) dedicated to the little prince :)
Above and below: Lunch at Gandy Dancer. Thanks to their texture, I normally refer to shrimp as “sea grubs,” but Gandy Dancer’s Coconut Macadamia Encrusted Shrimp make me feel otherwise.
Literally my favorite dessert of all time-the Molten Chocolate Cake.
Kate’s too-pretty-to-eat strawberry shortcake.
Love the simplicity of a delicate (and cheap!) vase + single stem rose.
Missing pool time dearly. We may stop by a pop-up pool at Brooklyn Bridge Park this weekend.
In true tradition, Ann Arbor’s Art Fair fell on the season’s hottest and most-prone-to-natural-disasters week of the year. That being said, we made a quick in-and-out trip, stopping to catch a glimpse of our favorite art stands (and ate lunch at 10 AM to beat the crowds).
Welcome home treats by a sweet sister :]
